Easter is always powerful and exiting to experience. How could it not be? It is the single greatest day in history to this point. The only day that will surpass it will be the return of Christ. There are thousands if not millions of sermons that can be and probably where preached for Easter. All have a very powerful message.
This year the Lord, very early in the year, gave me a single word to focus on: Miracles. I felt God wanted to do miracles for His children. An old song that had a line in it saying “He’s a miracle worker” kept running through my head. I dreamed of inviting people to service to celebrate the resurrection but also to stand in for the miracle from God they needed. I even debated do we do a special miracle Easter night service to do just a time of praying for them.
Then the world changed. We in less than a week were confined to homes and doing services either online or drive-in type churches. I first was a little discouraged, maybe I would have to hold this Word from the Lord until things settled down and we can gather again. Then he Lord started speaking the Word “Greater.” Just as those in Jesus’ day had envisioned what Jesus did and how He would do it, I had envisioned what Easter and this Word of Miracles would look like to me and our church family. Just like in Jesus’ day, and this Word, Jesus defied their dreams and vision. Jesus had something GREATER in store for humanity than what the crowd following Jesus imagined. Jesus is not limited to do the miracle we envision, Jesus does Greater Miracles. I only saw in part, but Jesus saw and will give a Greater Miracle than I could ever imagine.
Jesus is not limited to do the miracle we envision, Jesus does Greater Miracles.
I pray this sermon blesses you and positions you to believe, hope, and walk towards the Greater Miracle Jesus has for you, your ministry, your family, and your dreams.
