I am sure you have read a verse, or the Lord brings one to your mind that you can quote, and you know what it means, but there is more to it. You think about it, you weigh it in your mind, and there is just something you know you still have not gotten from it. I am sure you have because I have. It can be almost frustrating, but there is more gold there than you have seen yet.
Sometimes, that moment happens when the Lord tries to speak to you. If you are like me, you might even say, “Lord, I know that.” Those are dumb words because the Lord is trying to show me/us something. Well, in part, that is what happened with this well-known verse.
One day, I was walking and kind of asking the Lord how I would help the churches I was to serve. One thing the Lord did was bring this verse to me. Well, for a split second, I went, no, Lord, I know that verse; they know that verse; we need more. Then I became stirred by His Spirit on this verse many can quote.
I have a whole sermon from this quick moment, but here is a short 10-minute word of encouragement from this well-known verse. Pay attention to every word the Lord gives us. Let your Spirit hear that God is more than you could ask for!
