I rarely do an annual theme for myself, my family, or our church. I am not against it. In fact, there are positives. It just is not how the Lord normally speaks to and through me. But if I had a theme for 2021, it was “Intentional.”
Towards the end of 2020, the more than one time spoke to me on the need of being intentional. Intentional in all areas of life. He began to show me how as churches and society we so often could function by happenstance or the normal flow of life. We have been able to just live life doing what we needed or wanted and it has worked out for most. But the Lord really impressed my heart that if His Church, if I was going to do be, do, and accomplish all He has set out for us/me we must live Intentional in this new year and beyond. As we see Christian culture more and more at odds with the culture of our nation and world, we cannot depend on the flow but must be intentional.
May 2021 be a year of Intentionality for you, your family, and your ministry.
